We would like to point out that we don't "charge" people to get into parties. We do ask for donations, yes. That is how we are able to purchase decorations, buy alcohol, tip the DJs, pay for security and other expenses for hosting parties like this. We are not a profit organization but a group of friendly people who like to party. People who do not make donations have the chance to get a Regular Party Pass at Dragon*Con - there's no charge for them getting into the parties. They just need to make sure they have the pass around their neck when they arrive, have their I.D. on them (21+) and don't cause any problems.
Unfortunately you can't please all the people all the time. That's just the way that it is. But as long as 97% of people who come to our events want to come back and tell us how much fun they've had, that's what makes all the headache so worth it.
