I have 2 memberships for this year's con that I won't be able to use. If anyone is interested in going and has not already purchases tickets I'll be glad to sell mine for $45 each. You would be responsible for the $20 transfer fee charged by DC but that still is cheaper than the price of tickets now. Please let me know if you're interested.

I saw some of the special effects contact lenses last year and really want to get a pair this year.

Does anyone have recommendations on manufacturers, styles, vendors to buy from and/or avoid? This really isn't my area of expertise so I'm bowing to the masters (or mistresses) in this community. Maybe there's a costume lenses 101 someone could point me towards?

BTW, does anyone have the contact information for last year's lens exhibitor? And are they coming back to D*C this year? It's a bit hard to tell from the offical D*C exhibitor/vendor list -- what's on-line could be current or from last year.

Mercy buckets! (that's 'Murican for, Merci beaucoup)

I had planned to attend (purchased my ticket, etc), but my entire group just bailed on me.

I've been spending the last two months completeing a Dark Phoenix from X-Men: The Last Stand and I'm super-disappointed that no one I know will be there.

I was the one with all the room reservations, luckily (so I have two rooms with two double beds in the Hyatt--but no one to fill them).

Is anyone in a similiar situation?
