My cousin just tried booking at the Hyatt for DragonCon (Con-rate) and they told him they are sold out! Has anyone else had this problem?

Did DragonCon not book enough rooms for thr 3 hotels this year compared to previous years? I'm just in shock the rooms are selling out so fast.
