I am new to all this. In fact I am a CON-Virgin so be gentle on me. I hope to meet you all there. I am an Atanta Photographer so if you see the BIG black guy with a camera grap me for a quick photo. And if I look lost or in overload please direct me to the nearest bar.

Just looking at schedules and trying to find the best time for us LJers to meet up.

Im thinking Friday or Saturday afternoon. There is a ton going on the whole con so there will not be a time when we can all meet and not miss something.

The Yahoo Group is meeting thursday night, the msn group is meeting friday night (for now), the DconU is Saturday night and there's a ton of things going on Sunday night.

SO I was thinking Fri or Saturday afternoon. Maybe for lunch over at the little shopping center eating area right beside the hotel. ITs very close and has a nice little eating area if i recall correctly.

And I have completely forgotten what its called. Peach Tree center maybe?

Comments, thoughts, ideas, complaints, welcome.

this will be posted on the Dragon_Con Lj as well as they will be meeting with us also.

Without being too "graphic", what was the most embarrasing Dragon*Con moment you witnessed?

It wasn't really mine, but last year due to insomnia I got up pretty early and went to the area around 8:00 where the 10:00 that I wanted to see would be. There was a family hanging out there and we started talking. The younger daughter got them all there waiting at like before 6am, so she could be first on line to get an author's signature on a book. Well come 10:00 and they realize that they had been waiting in the wrong area all that time. They did get the signature, but that was alot of wasted time on their part....

AWA

I'm kind of curious as to how many of us are somewhat local and planning on going to AWA a couple of weeks after Dragon Con?

And who else is pissed that the two cons are so close together time-wise? I really wish that AWA was farther away from Dragon Con so I could have more time to financially recover, and work on cosplay, and have something to look foward to later in the year, or earlier.

I just called, and Fairfield Inn and Courtyard by Marriott seem to have the best parking options around the con:

1. $10 for 24 hours
2. The lots are guarded 24/7 (none of that panhandling to deal with)
3. In-and-out-privileges
4. 6 blocks away

Hope this helps some people
