Ok, so I went to D*C last year and we were there a few days early with time to spend looking around Atlanta. If you're going to be there a day or two early and want to sight see or check out some eateries that aren't in the peach tree center mall. This might help.

Call the Atlanta Convention and Visitors Bureau at
(404)-521-6600

They'll send you brochures of what's nearby in peachtree center and things to see, while in Atlanta. Eatieries within walking distance etc. I got the thick assed book from Triple A last year and it weighed a ton and didn't really give me any help, this year I called this number and they sent me a envelope with more travel sized info in it. Much easier to pack and better info.

Might help out if your looking for places to check out while in Atlanta.
