Beating a Dead Horse OR... Still no Trek Track Schedule?

The meter just turned to seven days. Officially a week to go...
We could really use that Trek Track schedule now!

Please? Pretty please?

I get antsy enough in the last week...

*entering panic mode*

You aren't the only one getting antsy. There seem to be three or four tracks that are holding up the whole pocket program and schedule grids. ARRGH!!

I'm beginning to get that impression myself. I wish they would at least release the main programming, though I imagine that's one of the trickier ones to pin down.

I know all of the tracks had to turn in schedules weeks ago so I don't think anyone specifically is holding anything up. I'm not sure why several of the tracks (I'm looking in your directions, Brittrack, XTrack and Trek Track) haven't put up tentative schedules like everyone else, though.

XTrack does not put out a program prior to the pocket program being released (whether that is at convention or prior to convention - whenever D*C releases it).

Sorry but I've released it early in the past with big ol' "TENTATIVE" notes all over and then either been screamed at (yes, screamed at) personally or had my staff called "liars" (yes, to their face) when something changed. Didn't matter that the changes were updated either in the pocket program or was changed at the last minute and put in the Daily Dragon.

I can tell you that changes were being made last week to my "turned in a month ago" schedule because of room changes, guest updates and other requests. That's the way things go.

Pfft... you should ask people like that if you have to smack a bitch and tell them if they don't like it, then don't come. ;)

I'd have thought you'd get more flack for NOT posting it early tbh.

To be fair, Star Trek has tons more guests than any other current track, and aside from having to fit them all in, they have to deal with some of these guests tying in with other tracks too (i.e, Mr. Bakula).

But yeah, I do feel like a kid on Christmas Eve right now waiting for the schedules... :-)

I'm a member of Brittrack and I see this asked all the time on twitter and other media. This is the first year [if not in a long time] were it's within days of the con and the pocket program hasn't been posted to the main website. I understand that guests are being added up to the last minute but I would think that there would be a cutoff at this point because things have to go to press. I maintain the online social media for the track and it's been a struggle to say the least.

For our track, I'm trying to put up a "TENATIVE" google calendar schedule in the next few days so at least there's something for our attendees to go by. As always, Things can change at a moments notice so hopefully there won't be too much of a shake up.

We also will be utilizing our twitter account @brittrack to notify people of panels or last minute changes. I would definitely recommend superscribing so you can be up to date.
