Problems with non-con goers harassing con-goers

Were there any this year? We've all heard or seen the problems in the past few years that prompted the heightened badge checking. This year I haven't heard of any conflicts, which would be great if true. Anyone?

Guy recognized me from my OKCupid profile, and was just generally creepy. I don't think he MEANT it in a creepy way, but quoting minutia from someone's dating profile (you like cats but don't have any! And you're Jewish but not really religious! You're an introvert!) and generally being really creepy and trying to talk at me about my dating profile during a panel was well.... creeper vibe. I ended up having to leave the panel I'd waited in line for because I was having an anxiety attack.

Luckily, I ran into a friend who walked me back to my hotel room, but I was freaked out for the rest of the day.

ok thats not only creepy but just plain weird. Its like hi I saw your dating profile, though one has to wonder if maybe he thought he knew you on some level? Then again the amount of stupid that flowed at con this year was pretty high.

I had someone ask me why I was reading as I was standing in line waiting for a panel. I simply asked what else should I be doing standing in line?

At *DragonCon*, someone asked why you were reading? Srsly??

Yeah they did ask me that. I did one of these O.o

then promptly went back reading.

You totally sound like my type, too, but I have to hope I would manage to come up with some less creepy way to introduce myself than rattling off things I'd memorized about you.

A couple of people in town have recognized me either from my OKCupid profile or from my LiveJournal picture, but it's mostly stopped at "Oh, haha, that's why you look familiar."
