burlesque show

i'm really looking forward to the burlesque show this year.  has anyone been to any of the shows in the past?  was it really crowded?  how was your experience?

Last year's show was fantastic, but the ballroom it's held in fills up quickly, so get in line early or you might not get in!

There's no guarantee it will be in the same place this year, but last year it was on the ballroom level of the Hyatt in the ballroom to the left when you've come in the doors from the pool area. I'm afraid I don't know which ballroom # it is, but it's not the one most of the concerts are held in.

I've only been to one, the performance was splendid, the line was an outside-wrapper (and I'm pretty sure it filled the room to capacity).

Oh it definitely did, and not everyone who was in line got in. I had went to Dragon After Dark and had hoped to get in after that concluded, but after waiting outside for the line to go through, the room filled up with plenty of people SOL. I may skip Dragon After Dark this year and just go to the Burlesque.

I've been twice. Both times it was pretty full but I managed to find seats. And it was a lot of fun. Highly recommend.

Glad you asked this! Now I will know to get there early!

(Really hoping to participate next year, but I just couldn't get a number together in time to submit this year)

Me: married, female, over the age of 40. Waited in line, got seats, left halfway though. More strip show than burlesque and with 3 females sharing a room, I've seen plenty of naked breasts. I was underwhelmed and unless I hear some really, REALLY, good reports, wouldn't bother again. It appeared that many males in the audience had not seen breasts before and I swear one guy sitting next to us was sweating....

Disappointing. More striptease, less entertainment?

I went to what I think was the first one. The line was down the Hyatt stairs and around the corner and the room was filled to capacity. However so may people were leaving after each performer that I managed to get in.

I watched two performers before I left. It just wasn't something I found interesting. At all. And I like women taking their clothes off.
