So, which Dragon Cons was Bradbury at?

Apparently he was at the 1986 one.

I saw him at the 1998 one (with Ray Harryhausen).

And he was there in 2003.

I was thinking he'd been there more recently than 2003, but a little googling didn't reveal that this was so.

In 1986, Mr. Bradbury was at the Atlanta Worldcon, known as Confederation. D*C didn't start until a few years later.

The 1998 one when the two Rays were on the panel together was awesome.

I had the pleasure of meeting him back in 1998. The con was much smaller and easier to navigate back then. Still, I remember happily waiting in line at least 2 hours for his autograph. I got him to sign 2 graphic novels of his works since comic books are my biggest passion. I believe the other time he was scheduled in 2003, he had to cancel.
I realize what an honor and privilege it was to meet one of the most amazing writers of our time. He drew me this little sketch as a nice surprise when he signed my book. Here's the picture.

A sad bit of news indeed. Wish I could have seen him in person just once.
