There were actually some really great football fans at one of the restaurants in the Marriott who were really impressed and delighted by the con and said they wanted to attend next year.

Sports fans are geeks too. We are all individuals with many, many interests. Why not be welcoming to everybody? There is no rule that says you can't be both a genre geek and a sports geek.

I got an overall very good feeling from the football fans this year. More so than in the two years prior by a lot. They were openly amazed and amused in many cases, but generally friendly and really into enjoying the experience. What more can we ask for?
