2012 Membership E-Mails & Postcards

I bought my 2012 D*C membership at the Con this year. The young lady who rang it up said that I would be getting an e-mail and Pre-Reg postcard. I haven't received an e-mail. So:

1) Has anyone here who bought their 2012 membership at the this year's Con received an e-mail regarding it? If not, does anyone know when the e-mails will be sent out?

2) Does anyone know when they'll start sending out the Pre-Reg postcards?

I've been putting my email addy on those forms for years now and I've never gotten any email from D*C. I also prereg at the con for next year's con ever year too. /shrug

Ditto on the lack of emails. As for post cards, I do not think they send those out until the beginning of next year. I seem to recall getting mine in February, but I might be remembering incorrectly.

+1 to Feb. I write down a time line for D*C and last year the blue cards started arriving at people's houses around first week of Feburary.

And I too got an online confirmation but I did pre-reg from the D*C store, not on site at the 2011 con.

I purchased mine at con. I heard that it would be a month or two at least until I received my postcard. No email sent (nor expected).

I didnt prereg at the con this yr but already bought mine and my mom's membership last week online.Got a confirmation email the next day. I know this is off topic but I do hope yall get emails soon. Again sorry for the off topicness here.

I purchased two memberships on Friday at the $60 ea. rate online. I got an email on Monday confirming my order. If I remember correctly, seems like the postcards for 2011 came in the mail around May?

No e-mail here. First time pre-reg. at con, so I don't know what to expect. I get the automated e-mail when I buy online in the past. Both the last two years I got my post card in January, so I don't expect it until then at the earliest.

I think the postcard comes in late fall. I've never gotten an email, but I always get the postcard.

I pre-reg for the following year on Monday of the con. I've been doing this for so many years I've lost count. I've never not gotten the card.

Thanks everyone for the responses! I wondered about the process because when I bought my membership at the Con, after the nice young lady who rang it up handed me my receipt and said thank you, I asked her if I got anything else. She said that I would get an e-mail and a postcard. Since I got an e-mail for my membership to the 2011 Con when I registered through the D*C store, that seemed reasonable. I guess she just assumed that an e-mail would be sent out, maybe because the D*C store does that. I knew that my 2012 membership hadn't really been set up, since she kept my form and didn't enter any of the info on the spot, which makes sense in order to speed up the line. I just thought maybe they would send me an e-mail when my membership was actually set up. I too will hang onto my receipt for dear life. In fact, I think I'll make a copy of it and keep it in a separate location from the original. :-)

I would not worry about the e-mail but if you do not receive the post card by June I would call the Dragon*Con office be sure to keep the receipt just in case. The one year I pre-reged I did not get an email but did get the post card.

1. If you bought memberships at the show the forms have the be entered by hand and it takes a while due to the volume. I do not believe you will get an email, unless there is a problem with your form and the office needs clarification.

2. Postcards should be sent out in late 2011, or early 2012 after the new ones have been printed with the 2012 information on them.

FYI: When someone purchases a membership through the online store they get an automated email each time their invoice status is updated.
