So the Hyatt is going from volunteers to go to the omni to moving you without any say to the Omni, anyone else getting phone calls like this?

Exactly. I've worked switching clients out of hotels, and standard procedure is find one of a similar standard.

HOWEVER - I'm not sure if the Westin is the same star rating, but in this case, where people are clearly coming for the con, it makes sense to switch them there instead, or at least given them the choice. As long as there's a batheroom and a bed, I think most of us would take location over fancier wallpaper any day.
