Wigs, Makeup, and More!

Hello everyone!

God Save the Queen Fashions will be selling a variety of makeup, wigs, and other costume emergency items in the dealer's room this year.  We will have:

Wigs
- Natural colors
- Party colors
- Wig heads
- Hair pins and t-pins
- Wig caps (people tend to forget these - we have a ton!)
- Pre-styled character specific wigs and accessories

Makeup
- Eyeshadows (tons of colors!)
- Eyeliner
- Foundations
- Powders
- Lipsticks
- Lip liners
- Spirit gum and remover
- Small selection of body paint

Also, we will be offering makeover services from the fabulous Nicole Paige Brooks (of RuPaul's Drag Race: Season 2 ).  Full makeovers are $69.95 and include eyelashes.  Eye makeup only (also includes lashes) is $34.95.  To book an appointment, please email orders@godsavethequeenfashions.com with the subject line DRAGON*CON MAKEOVER.  We are happy to offer price breaks to those booking multiple appointments.

Makeover services are not limited to a specific gender.  Men, women, aliens, we can make all of you beautiful!  We are however, limited to natural and glamor makeup only.  We are not equipped for special fx or full bodypaint.  We CAN do glamor makeup on top of painted faces however (think Hellgirl, She Hulk, or other painted characters).

We will be taking PRE-ORDERS for the next few weeks.  If there is an item you absolutely must have (a wig, specific type of makeup, etc.) we can have it ready for you to pick up at the con.  This is a great way to save on shipping.  To arrange a pre-order, email orders@godsavethequeenfashions.com with the subject line DRAGON*CON PRE-ORDER.

Nicole will be using a variety of products from GSTQ, Mehron, Paradise AQ, and Ben Nye. Most of the colors will also be available for purchase at the booth if you'd like to re-create your look after the convention =)

We are able to take appointments during the regular dealer's room hours:

Friday: 1pm - 7pm
Saturday: 10am - 7pm
Sunday: 10am - 7pm
Monday: 10am - 5pm

Our last appointments will begin no later than thirty minutes before the dealer's room closes.

How long do commissioned wigs take? I didn't even know you could commission a wig hehe

Commissioned wigs can generally be turned around in a day or three, but the major factor in how long it takes to get one is where we have an opening in our schedule.

For example, a Sailor Moon wig (or anything that is pulled up - ponytails, pigtails, formal updo, etc.) is very time consuming, and I am hesitant to take those types of commissions this close to the convention.

However, I CAN still take orders for lightly styled or cut wigs. If you need bangs cut into a wig or teasing/volume added in, that is certainly do-able! Dual color wigs (Rogue, Songbird, etc.) can also be put together before Dragon*Con.

Additionally, many characters with simple hair (Supergirl, L from Deathnote, Phoenix, etc.) can even be achieved with a stock wig straight out of the bag! I'm extremely familiar with the variety of styles carried by the companies I distribute for, and I can usually recommend a stock wig such occasions.

Can you recommend a stock wig like this one? I think it's a long, straight wig without bangs...

The book describes her hair as silver, so ideally I would like to find a silvery-gray color. Do you dye wigs? The Sailor Serenity/Iron Mouse color may work too!

I would also need it to be thick and long (>= 24 inches) The wig will be styled as the above photos, with a thick bunch over my shoulder covering a breast ;)

Yes, however it does sell out very fast, so I'd recommend either pre-ordering some or getting to the booth on Friday afternoon to have the best selection.
