Patrick Stewart??

I hate to alarm anyone wanting to meet him this year, but I just found this browsing another con site. This con is the week before DragonCon. (I'm actually surprised how many guests there are from that con coming to DragonCon the following week).

Anyway, they say Patrick Stewart is filming a movie in August and had to cancel their con. It could mean he has to cancel DragonCon too. (Unless it is a very short role that only takes a week to film). Not that I planned to meet him with his high autograph prices. But I'd be shocked if he made DragonCon after reading this. Though, it would be nice to see a panel with him in an overflow room someday.

I am here to remind you,

Although there is a brony meet up on Sunday during con, I really felt that one hour was not enough to for everypony to connect.  I also felt like there should should be a get together where everypony could spend several hours mixing and mingling while eating pizza and other goodies like cupcakes. They could also have a chance to show off their dance moves to some of the new created pony mixed.  After all, these colorful Equines are good a throwing parties.  So why not throw a party Equestria style?

1.  Check out my page on FB- "Dragon Con Bronies", click like, and share it with your other friends who are coming.  Once you click 'like', please be sure to post some ideas for the party that night on my page.

Question about badge pick-ups

I know that Saturday pre-reg badges are to be picked up on Saturday only but what about the case of someone who was already getting a full-membership picking the badge up for the Saturday person under the normal rules ? Why would that not be allowed .. the person was already going to be in the pre-reg line anyways so it would not be like there would be a flood of traffic on Thursday by Saturday-Only folks.

I am wondering access to the hotels will be restricted to people with badges or room keys again? I think last year this happened in the evenings?

What is the official policy on this?

Statuesque Women of Dragon*Con Unite! Photo Shoot

This is a meetup/photoshoot for all the statuesque women attending the 2012 Dragon*Con. If you are 6' or taller (before adding heels) we'd love to stand beside you, fellow Glamazon! And if you're 5'10", wear heels and sneak on in ;)

Won't you join us Friday, 31 August 2012, from 8-9pm, at the PULSE BAR, Atlanta Peachtree Marquis Marriott. We will have photographers, and lots of Glamazons. There is no costume theme, we don't care what you're wearing, just so long as you're tall and glorious.

Any word on whether Gillian Anderson is coming this year?  Last I heard it would be the first of August that we hear something.  I would like to see her but if she doesn't come, I can slide two panels into the slot where her one would have been.  Just curious, thanks.  :)

James Marsters question

Has James attended DragonCon in the past? If so, does anyone know what he normally charges for an autograph? He's going to be attending Wizard World here in Chicago this weekend and is charging $40. Was wondering if that was a good deal or if I should wait to get his autograph at DC.
