DragonCon Parade

I love attending the parade but last year was not as enjoyable.  Does anyone have any suggestions on which area I should stand to view the parade?  I was thinking maybe go to where the parade begins because I always view it near the end of the route.  It would be nice if barricades were set up so people can't cut in front of you and spill out into the streets.

Hey sorry to bother people I know this question has probably already been answered. I have been on froggy's page and all the other photo op pages....does anyone know who is taking patrick stewart photos and if there is a presale. I have taken a photo with him through froggy before but it was on his website. Also what about adam baldwin. Is it me or are the photo people not putting up their lists?

Me and my best friend are driving down for the con this year.  This leads me to a question, where is there not expensive parking near the con?

Hi all, DC newbie here. :-)

I purchased a photo op with John Barrowman through Froggy's website. All I have is my Paypal receipt. Is this my photo op ticket that I turn in, or does Froggy email you something else?

And I'm assuming there's a dedicated area where you pick up your photos the next day?

Sheraton 2013

The Sheraton is taking reservations for 2013. They have been for about a month.  It's $189.00 for a king and $209 for 2 doubles + tax.  They charge the 1st night when you make your reservation.  I've stayed there for the last 3 years.  This will be my 4th.  I stayed at the Marriott for my 1st 2 years but it got too crowded for me.  The Sheraton has a free computer area on the 3rd floor.  They also have a little cafe and restaurant on the 3rd floor.  Star Trek panels and the Yule Ball are usually there too.  It's in close proximity to the other hotels and  the staff is great.  I hated paying for it so early but it's the only way to ensure that I get the hotel I want.
