Need a random costume piece or two? Here's where to look...selling off no-longer-needed costume bits for convention funds.

I offer several nice costume pieces for sale. Please, feel free to haggle! And I apologize for the sizing of a couple pictures; my Photobucket-Fu seems to be failing me today.

In a nutshell: Three skirts, two skirt/shirt combos, one pair of vinyl pants, one cloak, one pair boots, one lace shirt, and one pair of wings.

Costuming input/suggestions/help

So we're about 8 weeks from D*C and I still haven't settled on a costume yet. I have a Babylon 5 Centauri costume, but I've worn that before. Since I'm flying in this time, I'm not encouraged to bring that as I'm concerned the airlines won't treat the wig very well. *wince*

I came as a True Blood Merlotte's employee last year, with blacked out eyes a la one of Maryanne's minions from season 2. I could do that again, but somehow a Merlotte's tshirt and apron with jeans isn't a lot of costume.

Game of Thrones is my new obsession, but there's nothing hugely distinctive about their costumes. That, and I don't have costume-making skills. It's been suggested that banners for the different GoT houses can be made for the parade, but I don't know of any specs to hand off to someone who could make one.

So I'm open to discussion and suggestions, particularly for Game of Thrones, if there's a growing GoT costuming community out there. Physically I'm male, 5' 11", 250#, balding salt-n-pepper. With just costume I could probably be a Lord Varys (shaving my head is workable). With costume plus makeup (wig) I could handle Robert Baratheon or maybe Ned Stark.

Also, are there any LJ or fb groups focused on D*C costuming? I found one fb group specific to GoT at D*C, which is a great start.
