Here's the deal:

I have one full DragonCon membership.

Problem is that my date of departure from Qatar has been pushed to September 1st, meaning I won't be back in the US until the 3rd or 4th.

So, here's what I'm offering.

Send a email to me at patgund(at)livejournal.com, with your best offer for said membership, (bear in mind there's a $20 transfer fee as well). The best offer by the 12th gets it. Paypal the money to me, and I will send you a PDF of the transfer form with my signature on it. You print it, sign it yourself, and give it to the registration people.

Thanks!

Hello, everyone! I come with a request (and massive cross-posting in hopes of as many people seeing this as possible). Some of you might remember the Lemmings from last year’s DragonCon. A group of five individuals braved the maze that is DragonCon, and there were many casualties (read: explosions). But five does not make an interesting level of Lemmings. We want more. And for that, we need more members!

Won’t you help us? The costumes are very simple, and actually fairly inexpensive as well. We’re running out of time, and I don’t know how many people we’ll be able to get, but even one or two members a year is an increase in our challenge rating! Are you interested in being a Lemming? Comment here and let me know!

So please, won't you join us? We need everyone we can get. Blockers, builders, diggers, climbers... you name it! We will have an official group meeting (to be scheduled soon around members' needs) at the convention. We will wander together, of course, but wandering alone is not out of the question. That one sole, lonely Lemming has a lot to talk about when he or she is trying to find his brethren.

PS: I'm sorry in advance to those of you that will be seeing this in several communities. If a moderator feels this is an inappropriate post, please let me know and I will remove it.

Hello everyone. New to the community, and hoping someone here can help me. It seems I find myself without a room and only three weeks till Dcon! So I'm in a little bit of panic mode.

If anyone still has crash space or needs another person for a room, pls contact me. Here, or via email mikespe AT aol DOT com. I'm flying down to Atlanta from Boston on thursday and leaving monday.

Thanks again!

I am sure most of us have already made our travel arrangements for D*C but AirTran just announced a sale that carries through Labor Day weekend but the flights must be booked by midnight tonight.

The details can be found here. I hope someone finds it useful!

TheScifiWorld.net, based in Belgium, has recently posted a Dragon*Con/Dragon*ConTV interview.

Bonus points to anybody who can name the movie where I stole the subject line from. And no, it's not a H2G2 reference to profanity :)

Aside from throwing out my favorite, albeit slightly obscure, line from Interview With the Vampire, this is my ping to see if anyone is still in need of volunteers?

Comment or send me an email directly.

So, for my creative writing class I'm writing a poem about an inanimate object. I decided to write about an elevator at Dragon*Con. Any memories, thoughts, or words that remind you of Dragon*Con would be appreciated!

Thanks,
Mariah Lewis
