still need periodic table elements!

Any thoughts on how I can scrounge up the last 25 or so elements I need for my periodic table parade group? I would rather not try to scramble to fill those spots at the con itself, if at all possible.

In addition to this LJ group, I have tried other LJ groups, Facebook, MySpace, a few Yahoo e-mail groups, cosplay.com, dragonconforums.org, the Convention Fans blog, and a few mailing lists. I just don't know where else to post. Help?

No one has taken gold yet. I'm interested (email is journal name at yahoo.com). And to get people interested in the still missing ones, a video (pictures of most of the elements once you get past the first blurbs).

The empty "good ones" (manganese, nickel, gold) were filled until recently. I've probably had 15 people bail in the past month, though a lot of those slots got filled back up.

That is sad, people shouldn't drop out of things (though I'm sure they had good reasons). What exactly is required for "dressing the part?" Like, for instance, will the participants be in costume the entire Con or just for particular event(s)?

Beyond having your element's info on the front of your costume, there are no rules. I will basically just have a T-shirt, while other folks are doing more. This event is for the parade only; people can do whatever they want with their costume beyond that.

draw up a poster and stick it in the consuite...? (will you be reachable electronically til the parade?)

print out the extra elements and go around randomly pinning them on people??

pin them on random bag people at the park right before step-off?

I sent you an email about this, but I guess you didn't get it. I looked at the chart of available elements and I'll take Scandium if it's still available. Also, what do i need to do to identify what I am? Do I just make up a little sign with the name, symbol and atomic number or will those be provided for us?

I did not get your e-mail. A handful of e-mails have not made it to me lately, which is concerning.

Scandium is all yours. All you need is your element's info vertically across your chest as a sign you make, or however you like. Past that, your costume may be anything. Send me another e-mail, and I'll pass along all the info to you.
