Hi everyone:

I am happy to announce that I will be doing a series of videos at Dragon Con this year for my new video blog,  "Hello World with Miyah Sundermeyer."  Also be sure to check out my first videos premiering this week as I talk about Dragon Con.

If you have an interesting costume or just plain wish to chat,  be sure to look for a girl dressed as Twilight Sparkle with the camera man.

If you want to be a part of the Pinkie Pie Flash mob between the Sheraton and the Hilton,  that is where you will be sure to put your lovely face on camera.

Note that the Pinkie Pie Party will be on Friday August 30th at 5:00 PM in the Marriott on the 10th floor or so planned.  Please stay tuned...

Just curious if anyone thought it would be a good idea to try to get James Rolfe (the angry video game nerd) to come to con.

Hey everyone! We are trying to make sure Steam Powered Giraffe gets a slot at Dragon*Con to preform this year. The band has put in a request however this does not guarantee a spot, so to help persuade the Dragon*Con decision makers I have created a petition to let them know we want SPG there.

If you are a fan and want to see them at the Con please consider signing!
If you don't know who they are, check out their music and videos!

Thanks for reading and spread the love!

Lookin at the map it looks that there's a habitrail from the main hotels to the new Vendor rooms. So my question(s) is: Is it a wheelchair accessable route? Or go by way of the streets the only way? Is it possible for a video showing the routes?

Anyone else curious as to the woeful lack of guests from 'Supernatural'?  So far, only James Marsters.  Last year we had a large portion of the cast, this year, nothing?  What happened?  Did we scare them.  ;-)  Granted, 20 more days so guests could be announced.  We can hope!

Does anyone know if He is doing a photo op? He isn't listed on Froggy's site or the photos with the stars site.

Hey gang,

Pre-orders are now live for Froggy's and Craig Damon's people.
Froggy has the Torchwood people. Just place my order for Barrowman and Myles.

Tonight a seen a news feed post on my Facebook page from one of the websites I go on daily for my convention news updates. My eyes pop when I read the news for FanExpo Canada August 23-26. Mind you this convention takes place a week before Dragoncon. They annouce X-Files Gillian Anderson and Dexter's Jennifer Carpenter. Now would it be nice if these two could take an extra weeks vacation and take a trip to Dragoncon.

So who do you continue to wish for as far as any guest, mind you it can be authors, comic book, music, tv & movies talent.

So here is my top 10 wish list for my perfect guest list for Dragoncon.

1. Gillian Anderson
2. Jennifer Carpenter
3. Alex Kingston she is starting to do conventions.
4. Grace Park really need to meet her so I can complete my autograph collection of the main cast for BSG
5. Jeri Ryan she was suppose to come to Wizard World philly but she and Wizard World which I think had a disagreement. My conspiracy theory for why she cancel.
6. Burn Gorman he would be the last main cast member from Torchwood to complete my autograph collection.
7. Naoko Mori met her but never gotten a photo op with her.
8. Gina Torres also to complete my autograph collection from Firefly leads.
9. Billie Piper I really want to meet her.
10. Karen Gillan I also really like her to.

So let have some fun and I would like to hear some feedback.

Thanks for reading.

I know most of this year's Trek guests have attended con before, so I figured someone could answer this for me. Do they typically allow photos at their tables, or are you forced to go through that Froggy gentleman that people seem to have so much trouble with? Something tells me it would be the latter with Patrick Stewart, since he's relatively big-name. I've only just gotten into Next Gen about six months ago (late to the party, I know), so I have no prior dealings with cast members.

I just wanted to come on here and thank Dragon*Con and this community for introducing me to Dr.Who. To be honest i had never really watched or knew anyone that watched it before going to Con in 2007. Even after that it took 5 years of seeing it have a huge presence at Con and reading about people posting about it on here. I decided to give it a try and am absolutly in love with it. Im only into the second season or the re-boot series but i have loved every episode. So thanks again, and it just goes to show how much Con can open your eyes to new and old shows. Just as an afterthought, does Con ever get anyone from Dr.Who as guests?

It's my sad duty to report that legendary fantasy cover artist Darrell K. Sweet passed away this morning. He leaves behind a rich legacy of art gracing more book covers than I can count, a Hugo nomination and numerous other award nominations. Darrell was a guest of the convention back in 2005 and I was fortunate to spend time with him in the WOT track. Unfortunately, he died with his final book cover incomplete. From what I've been told, the cover for A MEMORY OF LIGHT, the final WHEEL OF TIME novel was still in it's early stages when he passed. He was 77.

The name of D*C's first announced guest for 2012 is now on their website. It's author R.A. Salvatore.

Also, the calendar for price increases for memberships is now up as well. The $70 rate is in effect until Nov. 15.
